

Make Music Day community concert
Make Music Day is a national event that takes place every year on June 21st.
This is a series of mini-concerts will feature different performers from George Caleb Bingham Academy of Arts and students at the Music/Arts Institute.

Christian Men's Fellowship
Breakfast Meeting on "How to Treat Every day as a New Day in Christ: Lessons for Christians" The lesson will be Biblical based and will include how to improve following in Jesus' footsteps daily such as slowing down periodically so as not to miss Christ moments, practicing the "Fruit of the Spirit" in our life, allowing our plans to be tweaked by God, giving thanks, and seeking His grace to name a few. All men are invited to join us as we seek to make a difference in our Christian Journey in 2025 by striving to have Christ in our life each and every day.

A joint concert with the Music Arts Institute MAIsters choir in collaboration with the Kansas City Boys and Girls Choirs.

A Triumph of the Spirit
This performance is an authentic, heartbreakingly sincere, and witty two-act play based on the life of Harriet Tubman. The audience shares in the trials and tribulations that made Tubman a great historical figure.


Disciples Women's Ministries
Martha Schmidt will provide the study, Donna Beaderstadt the devotion, and snacks provided by Mary Czeschin and Donna Beaderstadt The service project this month is ALS, however since last month's meeting was cancelled there will also be a collection for Cancer Acrion. All women are welcome to join us for the first meeting in 2025 as we continue to learn, have fellowship and make a difference in the church and community.

Disciples Women's Ministries
DWM will meet Wednesday August 14 at 10 am in the Friendship Classroom for a lesson, devotion, service project, fellowship and light snacks. Martha Schmidt will provide the study, Mary Czeschin the devotion, and snacks provided by Martha Schmidt and Linda Humphrey. The service project this month is Tabitha's Closet which was started as a community outreach program at First Christian and is still going strong at. Northwest Communities Development Corporation (NWCDC) where guardians of students can “shop” for free gently used clothing, winter coat, new shoes, new underwear, and new socks. All women are welcome to attend as we continue to learn, have fellowship and make a different in community outreach.
