Disciples Women's Ministries
This month's service project is Blessing Boxes which helps provide missions and programs for the Disciples of Christ DWM programs. All women are invited to attend as we have fellowship, make a difference in the community, and are sure to enjoy a variety of salads.
Christian Men’s Fellowship
Christian Men's Fellowship (CMF) will meet Saturday June 13 at 8 am in the Friendship Classroom for a Breakfast Meeting on "Overcoming Obstacles: Lessons for Christians". The lesson will be Biblical based and will include among others that we will face obstacles from time to time in our life, that it is much more important how you handle them than your difficulties and roadblocks themselves, and how you can best deal will obstacle from a Christian perspective. This is an ideal time to join us as we learn in an informal environment continuing on our Christian Journey.

Church birthday picnic
Make plans now to attend the Church Picnic Sunday June 28 after church as we celebrate the 191st Birthday of Independence First Christian Church which was founded on July 4, 1835, taking only the Holy Bible as their guide and standard. This promises to be an event filled with great fellowship, good food and good times as we give thanks to all our blessings and look forward to the next chapter of FCCI. More information to follow.

Christian Men’s Fellowship
Christian Men's Fellowship (CMF) will meet Sat. April 18 at 8 am in the Friendship Classroom for a breakfast meeting on "God's His-Story: Lessons for Christians"
The lesson will be Biblical-based and will include among others the significance of God's His-Story as it relates to humanity, how we are supporting actors in God's story, and our obligation to tell others about the 'Greatest Story Ever Told" on Earth ... the life, death and resurrection of our Savior Jesus.
This is an ideal time to join us as we learn in an informal environment about God's His-Story and our role we play in God's History.
Disciples Women's Ministries
Disciples Women's Ministry (DWM) will meet Wed. April 8 at 10 am in the Chapel for a short meeting and special program followed by a Festive "Spring Fling" Luncheon in the Friendship Classroom.
The cost for the Luncheon is $8, and reservations can be made by calling Betty Langton on her home phone (816-373-0056) and leaving a message or emailing bettylangton31@gmail.com by Sunday April 5.
The service project this month is Tabitha's Closet to purchase winter coats. DWM has supported Tabitha's Closet ever since it was established in our church, and Tabitha's Closet continues to fill a need in the community and has helped many children over the years.

Christian Men's Fellowship (CMF) will meet Saturday February 14 at 8 am in the Friendship Classroom for a Breakfast Meeting on "Practice Love as Love is the Point: Lessons for Christians" The lesson will be Biblical based and will include among others the significance love has in God's Kingdom, how Christian love is different from a worldly view of love, and what you can do to better practice and share Christian love to others.
