The church has gotten information for replacing the HVAC.

Here’s the Feb. 15th recommendation from the Property Committee

The motion made and passed approved recommended replacing the current setup: chiller barrel, condenser, air handlers.

Committee members attending were: David Wade, Chair; David Ross, Moderator, audio participation; Bob Shirk; John Bederman; Si Donahue; Charles Herring; Robert Greene; Wayne Tibbets; Colby Smith

A detailed bid was received from MetroAir of $101,500 with delivery in mid-March.

The Financing

The Finance Committee wants to finance the capital costs through a loan from the Board of Church Extension.

Here is some general information on potential loan costs and interest rates.

Currently that rate will be in the 4.75% - 5.00% range.

The Green rate is 3.50% for a 5-year amortization, and 4.00% for a 10-year length, and a Green Loan is for up to $150,000. For loans $100,000 or under it is $250 application fee; $500 for loans over that amount. More details available at: https://disciplescef.org/borrow/renovation-loans/
